On the right side of the site, the Options Menu allows users to interact with both the Legend and Basemap options for enhanced map customization and clarity.
The Legend displays items when their corresponding layers are active. Some layers include multiple symbology classifications, resulting in a more extensive legend display to accommodate all variations. Please note that GIS data provided as a Tiled Service, such as Tax Map annotations or labels, will not appear in the legend, even though these items remain visible on the map itself.
The Basemaps / Aerials-Ortho option allows users to toggle between different years of imagery, displaying data strictly within the town boundary plus a 500-foot buffer from the town’s edge. As more data layers become available, they will be added to provide richer historical and spatial context for the map, allowing for a comprehensive view over time.
