As web applications grow more demanding, we recommend using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome with specific settings to optimize performance across all websites, including our GIS application.
For Google Chrome, you can enhance performance by enabling hardware acceleration. Start by clicking the three vertical dots at the top-right corner of the browser, then select Settings. Navigate to System and enable the option Use hardware acceleration when available. Close the settings tab and refresh the site for enhanced rendering and smoother spatial operations.
In Microsoft Edge, similar settings can improve the site's performance. Click the three horizontal dots in the top-right corner of the browser, choose Settings, then go to System and Performance and enable Use hardware acceleration when available. After closing the settings tab, refresh the site for optimal performance.
Enabling hardware acceleration can dramatically improve the rendering quality and efficiency of spatial tasks, providing a more seamless user experience across applications. These adjustments are particularly beneficial when working with GIS tools and other resource-intensive web applications.
